Teeez Cosmetics

Helloooooooooo everybody,

So today, I'm doing a lil lil Review on some Teeez Cosmetics*, firstly their packaging is AMAZING! I mean look how cool that is. You can already tell that it's more of a highend brand, and that the products are going to be good quality and just so you know they're also cruelty free!

If you've read my blog for a while you'll know how much I love my highlighters but I actually haven't tried a cream based highlight so I was super excited to try the Style Addict Highlighter*out and guess what? I LOVE it. Oh my gosh the highlight is so beautiful, it's in the shade Body Heat. It looks so pretty and pink based shimmer on the cheekbones and it lasts allll day long, it's not over the top but you could also probably achieve that Kardashian look with this Highlighter, you can make it subtle or you can go all out with it. SO PRETTY. It's a perfect shade for the Spring and Summer.

To be honest, I rarely wear pink or purple toned eyeshadows because I just stick to the bronze shades, however when I opened this To Die For Eyeshadow Quad* I absolutely loved the look of the eyeshadows and they've been the only ones I've been wearing since I received them. The palette is in the shade Stunning Haze but the shadows themselves don't have separate names so that's why I put them as 1,2,3 and 4 on the swatches. They're super pigmented and such beautiful shades, they also apply like a dream and they're so easily blended into one another, I wouldn't say there's that much fallout either, just a little bit from the black shade but nothing too much, I tend to do my eyeshadow before my foundation anyway so when I've applied these I'll put the foundation on and the little bit of fallout has disappeared and they stayed out throughout the day until I removed it so overall very very impressed with this Eyeshadow Quad, it goes straight to the top spot of my favourite Eyeshadow Palettes.

I haven't really tried out a different mascara since I found the Maybelline Lash Sensational because I didn't think any other mascara could compare but boy was I wrong. That went out the window and down to the number 2 spot and the Bulletproof Volume Mascara* from Teeez has taken the number 1 spot. From the second I applied the Black Out Mascara to one eye the difference was insane. It made my lashes look super fluttery, added volume and definition to them and it gave them length. Literally everything you want a mascara to do, this one did it, I can't praise it enough I absolutely love it at the minute, it'd probably be even better if you curled your lashes as well but I'm just too petrified that I'd chop them off!

Material Girl Lipstick* - Everyone loves a good old red lipstick don't they? Well I think this one - which is the shade Dead Sexy - is one of those lipsticks. This is a go to red lipstick that every girl owns, it's a quite a bright toned red I'd say but it's the perfect shade for the Summer days and evening's out when you want to go with the hardly any makeup and keep the lips the main focus of the look. I found this one really easy to apply, it went on like a dream and it's insanely pigmented, it also felt quite hydrating on the lips which is also a bonus, it reminds me of the MAC - Russian Red but slightly brighter and nowhere near as drying.

Read My Lips Lipstick* - This is my favourite lipstick out of all of them, it's in the shade On Trend and it's probably my favourite because it's a brown toned nude shade, I love a good ol' brown toned lipstick because it just suits my skin tone and it worked perfectly with the purple toned eyeshadows to pull the whole look together. As for the application it's super hydrating when you apply it, it's a Satin Matte finish so at first it's kind of like a glossy finish but I find it does mattify slightly throughout the day but it doesn't dry my lips out at all. It also lasts so well on the lips, I tried it out putting it on around 9am and I didn't take it off until around 6pm and it was still on, it stayed put throughout eating/drinking and it was only just fading in the middle around the time I was taking it off. LOVE IT. I'll most likely be repurchasing this one when it's all gone.

Vivacious Lip Stain* - This product I wasn't really that keen on at first because of the shade, I don't really wear pink lip products and holy crap this one is SO bright like seriously, I did end up liking the shade but I definitely think it's more of a going out shade rather than an everyday sort of look. But with this one there is a bit of a downside because this one is a really matte finish, when you apply it it feels sticky at first and then it dries into a full matte finish and the stickiness has disappeared, the only problem was, it was quite patchy upon application and it was cracking throughout the day because of how matte it was and it was definitely drying on the lips.

One quick note as well, the swatches actually don't do any of these products justice, the shades are so much more pigmented and vibrant off of the camera!

Colouring Book Haul

Okay so firstly I have become obsessed with colouring. I used to hate it until over the Christmas holidays where I spent most days colouring and found myself really enjoying it. The good thing I like about colouring is the fact it seems to keep my mind busy and keeps me distracted which is definitely something I needed, it helps me feel relaxed and I've been enjoying it so much. I've picked up a few colouring books from Johanna Basford's range and some others too, I love Johanna's books because they're literally the best colouring books I love them, they're so unique, these colouring books paired with the colouring pencils are so good seriously take a look at them if you haven't tried any from her. They're 100% worth the money! These are the ones I picked up:

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation Review

So I've actually got a new foundation review, shock horror I know, if you know me you'll know that all I used to use was the Studio Fix Foundation by MAC, that foundation was and still probably is my go to, but it was drying out my skin in the Winter because of the matte finish so I decided to try out a Drugstore one, I had used this one before but I decided to pick a new one up and try it again.

The first thing is it smells really nice which may be weird but the MAC one isn't the nicest smell so that wins for that, secondly Rimmel actually have it in Light Porcelain YAY! (Although struggling to find a store that has it in stock right now!) I like that Rimmel cater for pale skin tones because not many Drugstore brands actually do. Thirdly the coverage on this is actually really good! It managed to cover all my redness and blemishes around my face and left my skin looking healthy and dewy which is exactly what I needed, it has a little bit of speckles of glitter in there but no need to worry you don't go out looking like Edward Cullen in the sun. It's just a nice added glow to your face I think, it's hardly that noticeable to be honest. I didn't find this rubbed off throughout the day either, it really stayed put and kept the redness at bay, the best thing was as well I didn't even feel like I had a foundation on because it was so lightweight on the skin which is a nice change because with the MAC you could definitely tell you had it on.

Overall I really like this one, it's definitely worth a try if you're looking for a nice dewy Drugstore foundation that doesn't break the bank and leaves your skin feeling and looking healthy and glowy.

Beauty Wishlist

Today I'm bringing a Wishlist to my blog, I haven't done a makeup shop in AGES and I feel like I need too, I'm running out of everything but you know how those spending bans go. But there's nothing wrong with a little bit of browsing over on the Boots and Superdrug websites is there? Yes. There is. Because then you want EVERYTHING. However I managed to not purchase a thing and successfully put a little Wishlist together, here's what I'm after:

What's currently at the top of your wishlist?

Book Haul

So over the past couple of weeks I've been picking up some new books here and there when I've spotted them or we'll my sister (itsthebluebow) found them and was like you need this one and this one and this one and then eventually had a couple to do a little book haul so here's what I went and picked up! I've also put the blurb from Amazon, of the books there for you just incase you like the look of one.

Dream a Little Dream - 'Sarah is doing just fine. Sure she's been single for the last five years, and has to spend an uncomfortable amount of time around her ex-boyfriend, his perfect new girlfriend and all their mutual friends. And yes, her job as a PA to one of the most disgusting men in London is mind-numbingly tedious and her career is a constant disappointment to her mother. But it's really okay. She's happy (ish). So it's not surprising that when Sarah starts dreaming about a handsome stranger, she begins to look forward to falling asleep every night. Reality isn't nearly as exciting. That is until her dream-stranger makes an unexpected real-life appearance, leaving Sarah questioning everything she thought she wanted. Because no one ever really finds the person of their dreams... do they?'
The Raven Boys - 'Blue has spent the majority of her sixteen years being told that if she kisses her true love, he will die. When Blue meets Gansey's spirit on the corpse road she knows there is only one reason why - either he is her true love or she has killed him. Determined to find out the truth, Blue becomes involved with the Raven Boys, four boys from the local private school (lead by Gansey) who are on a quest to discover Glendower - a lost ancient Welsh King who is buried somewhere along the Virginia ley line. Whoever finds him will be granted a supernatural favour. Never before has Blue felt such magic around her. But is Gansey her true love? She can't imagine a time she would feel like that, and she is adamant not to be the reason for his death. Where will fate lead them?'

Vampire Academy - 'St Vladimir's Academy isn't just any boarding school - hidden away, it's a place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They've been on the run, but now they're being dragged back to St Vladimir's where the girls must survive a world of forbidden romances, a ruthless social scene and terrifying night time rituals. But most of all, staying alive.'

You're The One That I Want - 'When Sarah, a teacher from Cornwall, and Matt, a businessman from Nashville, meet on a European coach tour, they soon find themselves in a relationship. Except it’s a fake relationship. Because Matt is too busy for romance, and Sarah is only trying to make her cheating ex-husband jealous … isn’t she? As Matt and Sarah complete their tour of Europe, they do all the things real couples are supposed to do – from visiting fairy-tale castles in Germany to recreating the scene from Romeo and Juliet in Verona. And, of course, for every picturesque destination there’s a loved-up selfie and Facebook post to match. But as their holiday comes to an end, Sarah and Matt realise that they’re not happy with their pretend relationship. They want the real thing.'

Evie Undercover - 'When libel lawyer, Tom Hadleigh acquires a perfect holiday home - a 14th century house that needs restoring, there's a slight problem. The house is located in the beautiful Umbria countryside and Tom can't speak a word of Italian. Enter Evie Shaw, masquerading as an agency temp but in reality the newest reporter for gossip magazine Pure Dirt. Unbeknown to Tom, Italian speaking Evie has been sent by her manipulative editor to write an exposé on him. And the stakes are high Evie's job rests on her success. But the path for the investigative journalist is seldom smooth, and it certainly never is when the subject in hand is drop-dead gorgeous.'

Miracle on 5th Avenue - 'Hopeless romantic Eva Jordan loves everything about Christmas. Even if she is spending it alone housesitting a spectacular Fifth Avenue apartment. What she didn’t expect was to find the penthouse still occupied by its gorgeous–and mysterious–owner. Bestselling crime writer Lucas Blade is having the nightmare before Christmas. With a deadline and the anniversary of his wife’s death looming, he’s isolated himself in his penthouse with only his grief for company. But when the blizzard of the century leaves Eva snowbound in his apartment, Lucas starts to open up to the magic she brings…This Christmas, is Lucas finally ready to trust that happily-ever-afters do exist?'

Mince Pies and Mistletoe at the Christmas Market - 'Ruby has finished with university and is heading home for the holidays to save up for her trip around the world in January. Against her father’s wishes, she takes on a stall at the local market, and sets about making it the best Christmas market stall ever. There’ll be bunting and mistletoe and maybe even a bit of mulled wine. But with a new retail park just opened on their doorstep, the market is under threat. So together with all the other stallholders, Ruby devises a plan to make sure that Wynbridge is the first port of call for everyone’s Christmas shopping needs. The only thing standing in her way is Ruby’s ex, Steve. It’s pretty hard to concentrate on saving the world when he works on the stall opposite, especially when she realises that her feelings for him are still there'

YouTube Made Me Buy It

I've seen a few videos of this going around so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon but do it as a blog post instead. There's a few things that YouTube has made me buy over the years but here's a few of them:

MAC Studio Fix Foundation - First up is a Foundation, I was super happy when they had a really pale shade which is actually a perfect shade for me. I love this Foundation, it's a good high coverage which I like because it covers all the redness and blemishes that I have and makes my skin look that much better, it's a matte finish and I don't find it rubs off during the day unless I have a cold haha! But definitely love this one and it's probably my go to Foundation.

Maybelline Lash Sensational - This was all over the Internet when it was first released and I didn't really want to give into the hype because I've fallen for that so many times and ended up hating it completely but I did give in in the end and I was really happy that I did because I haven't used any other mascara since trying this one out, I love it! It does everything I want a mascara to do, lengthen, separate and give them more definition.

Sleek Solstice Palette -  Ohh this highlight Palette is BEAUTIFUL, I saw it and wanted it instantly. It's the prettiest highlight Palette I own and I love Sleek for bringing this out, it has 4 different highlight shades in the gold packaged palette and it's 100% worth the price, these highlighters are super pigmented and you don't need much at all to have that beautiful highlight on your face. I've reviewed this here and it includes swatches if you want a nose at that!

MAC Velvet Teddy - Lastly is of course a lipstick by MAC and it's obviously going to be Velvet Teddy, now we all know how much of a hype went around this lipstick because of the whole Kylie Jenner thing and I did give into this one and this one was another one I was glad I purchased, I absolutely love it, it's the perfect brown toned nude shade, it lasts so long on the lips and it's a matte finish. What more could you ask for? (For it to be cheaper? I agree with that one!)

February Favourites

Another favourites today and I think it's actually the first time I've posted this on the 1st of the month! This year seems to be flying by already and I'm not sure how to feel about it, I think it needs to slow it down a bit I mean I still haven't accomplished anything throughout Jan & Feb and I'd really like this year to be the year where everything changes. Still 10 months to make that happen though right?!?

Anyway I'll stop rambling and move onto the favourites:

As you can see, not really loving much throughout Feb, my skin has been horrendous so I've not really been using too much makeup. One other thing that's been bad is my lips, they've been so dry and I was hoping that the Barry M Lip Oil would be the one to help out but that deffo didn't work for me so I decided to try out a few lip balms and I picked up two of the Baby Lips lip balms and these are from their Valentines range, they're both mint scented and they smell so nice, they even have a little heart on the top of the product which I thought was adorable, they've been helping my dry lips out as well which is exactly what I needed.

Another lip balm I've been loving is this one from Sweet Snuggles, the name is adorable and so is the packaging and the best thing is it's also really helping my chapped lips, I use this one mostly in the day and then the baby lips when I've put a bit of makeup on.

Next up is a book favourite and that's Fallen. I started this years ago probably but never actually got around to finishing it, I've been in a reading slump lately and I haven't been able to really get into a book apart from this one! Here's a lil bit from the blurb: 'The moment Luce looks at Daniel she knows she has never felt like this before. Except she can't shake the feeling that she has . . . and with him - a boy she doesn't remember ever setting eyes on'

I've also got a TV show favourite I was loving throughout Feb and that is MacGyver, it's like a drama detective show but the thing is...the main guy? Yeah. Guys. He's Travis. From the Hannah Montana movie. Can't get over it.

Lastly is boots. My oh so loving Doc Martens (which I didn't put in the picture oops?) but yeah these have been my lifesavers and my go to over the last few months, they've been keeping my feet so so toasty and dry through all of the rain, I'd been wanting them for months and finally treated myself to a pair for my birthday and I'm SO glad I did I love them!
