The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily Book Review

Genre: Christmas, Romance, Drama, YA

I'm a sucker for a cute romance and a Christmas book so this one was a win for me. The story starts where it explains what's gone wrong. Lily, who is basically the Christmas fairy, she loves it, every year it's what she looks forward to the most, she loves the decorations, buying presents, everything. Except this year it's changed, as it explains her Grandad fell ill and she hasn't been the same since, it's only 12 days until Christmas and she's not in the Christmas spirit at all. In fact it's more like she'd rather ignore it for that year, she hasn't even got a Christmas Tree!

Dash is her boyfriend, with his parents being divorced and not getting along it's hard for him to enjoy Christmas, it's not his favourite time of the year, but knowing Lily isn't in the Christmas spirit he and Lily's brother Langston decide to work together to try and help her by trying to cheer her up throughout the twelve days of Christmas. Langston doesn't really like Dash at all, so Langston asking Dash for help was basically him showing how desperate he was to try and help Lily out.

The story switches between dash and Lily's POV's which really gives you an insight on how they feel about each other even though they're acting different towards each other, which is a really cute thing to read, the story's written so so well and it's honestly such a cute heartwarming read for anytime of the year but especially at Christmas, I'll definitely be picking this one back up in December time or you know, in the Summer when I'm missing Christmas.
