Nivea Post Shave Balm

So I did a thing. I gave into yet ANOTHER hype when I really didn't want too and to be honest probably shouldn't have. I saw so many raving reviews about the Nivea Post Shave Balm with various people saying it was a really good cheap alternative to a primer, at first I was like umm a post shave balm as a primer? Surely not? But I kept seeing it in YouTube tutorials and endless amount of blog posts so when it was knocked down to £2 I decided to just jump on the bandwagon and give it a go. On first impression it has a lot of product for the price which was so good so I was really hopeful because that much product for that price for a really good primer sounded like bliss to me. Fast forward 2 weeks and I kinda wish I didn't bother with it, saying that though it's good for what it's actually meant for. Firstly I did try this as a primer under my foundation and it's quite a runny consistency which wasn't something I was used too for a primer, it was more like a foundation, it did sink into my skin really well but I didn't notice that my make up went on any better, in fact I'm pretty sure it just made my make up go oily quicker which is super annoying so after a couple of tries using it and seeing the same results I don't think I'm going to be using this as a primer anymore. However, it's actually a really good product to use after shaving, I have really sensitive skin and I use this afterwards and I've really found that it helps out my skin and my legs feel softer after applying this and it also say it makes skin a little bit less sensitive overtime so I think I'll be using this as a post shave balm rather than a primer.

Mini Book Haul

If there was ONE thing I wanted to do this year/this summer it was get back into reading, mainly to distract myself from everything and to just get lost in another World for a while. I was contemplating buying a Kindle but in the end I decided against it because a lot of the books I wanted were a lot more money than the paperback books and although a Kindle would save me a fair bit of space nothing beats a good classic old paperback book, I just LOVE getting new books in the post and I get so excited about it so I decided to not get the Kindle and just buy the paperback books instead because it also takes it away from all the technology these days!

There was a 3 books for £10 on Amazon so I decided that there was no better time than to get some books in, I had a search around for ages and I decided on these 3 books. Everything Everything, Fangirl & The Potion Diaries. I loved the sound of these 3 books and the covers really drew me to them. I think the cover is the one thing that really catches my eye when it comes to books and then the blurb is the next thing. I've already read Everything Everything and this book was AMAZING and I'm sure I'll put up a review of that one in the near future, but for now my goal is to read all 3 of these before Summer ends but the way I'm going I'll probably end up buying a lot more and reading an awful lot more as well.

What's your favourite books? Any recommendations? Let me know!

Make Up Revolution Iconic 3 Palette

Lately I've been changing up my eyeshadow and using lighter shades because it's Summer and I've really been liking the hardly there no make up make up look recently and the eyeshadow palette I've been nonstop picking up is the Iconic 3 Palette from Make Up Revolution. I actually nicked this from my sister (oops) because I loved the look of the shades and also it looks spitting to the shades in Urban Decays Naked 3 Palette so that was even better because I don't think I'm ever going to fork out that much for an eyeshadow palette so finding a dupe for just £4 is such a good bargain. The pigmentation in the eyeshadow palettes are really good, I use the white shade as base then go ahead and use a bit of a light brown on the outer corner and that's pretty much for a quick day look but it really looks pretty. Weirdly I also quite like the pinks in this palette and normally I shy away from them but these shades are such nice shades that I also use them occasionally as well. I haven't noticed that they slide off or disappear during the day the only time I notice it is when I forget and itch my eye and then it's all down my face but apart from that, nothing. The darker shades do have quite a bit of fallout from them but it's nothing a bit of foundation can't fix and usually I do my eyes before my foundation so it really doesn't bother me at all, I can't say a bad word about this palette and I'm already eyeing up the Smokey Palette from them which looks like a full on dupe of the Smokey Palette from Urban Decay for just £6. Absolute must!!

Body Fantasies

I've seen quite a lot of praise about the Body Fantasies body sprays around the Beauty World so I was pretty curious to try them out but because of all the hyped up products and me not getting along with them, I steered clear, however when they came through my door I was really excited to try them out and firstly the scents are AMAZING. I opted to try out Twilight Mist & Cherry Blossom because I was really curious about these two scents. The bottles are so cute and compact and they're the perfect size to be able to pop into your bag to take them with you, they're the perfect travel size and the bottle is plastic so you don't have to worry about the bottle smashing if you drop it because it won't break!

The Twilight Mist scent instantly reminded me of Autumn and Winter and even the name did actually which was one of the reasons as to why I wanted to try this one out (such a sucker for anything with a Twilight related name...) it smells amazing and I absolutely love it, it's like it smells of the outside in Autumn and Winter but in a bottle, like the fresh rain smell, the woods, literally everything to do with A/W. LOVE.

'Twilight Mist is a mesmerizing and mysterious fragrance that envelopes you with its soft woody scent'

Cherry Blossom is such a Spring/Summer scent and you can really smell the cherry from this one, it smells so fresh and fruity, I feel like I'll be using this one more these next couple of months before switching to Twilight Mist which I know will become my go to scent in Autumn & Winter.

'Swirling petals from the Japanese Cherry Blossom tree inspire a fragrance full of romance, desire and charm'

If I had to pick out of the two I'd say that my favourite one is the Twilight Mist scent as I love Autumn and Winter and it really reminds me of that time of year so whenever I use that I get a bit happy about that time of the year!

The Body Fantasies retail at just £4 and I'd 100% be happy to pay that because it's going to last me ages, I've been using them both and they hardly look touched and even on the bottle it says over 500 uses which is crazy but it actually could be true! You can purchase the Body Fantasies from Superdrug in the 4 scents available which are: Twilight Mist, Cherry Blossom, Pink Grapefruit & Vanilla Kiss
