As always I'm on the lookout for good a powder because I struggle with oily skin and I was running low on my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder but even that one I have such a love/hate relationship with. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't! My Mum bought me this powder from Make Up Rev to try out and I'm so glad she did because it's become my favourite powder. I've got this in the shade Translucent which is perfect for me and my pale skin, it did take me a while to figure out how to even open this one because I just thought you'd take the lid off like any other standard powder but nope it's a fancy twist one so you move the package to the side and it twists out, it also comes with a powder puff but I don't bother using that I just use my Real Techniques Powder Brush. I've been using this powder in conjunction with my MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage and my MAC Studio Fix Foundation. This powder keeps my make up in place and it honestly lasts so well on my skin, I'm super super impressed with this Powder. It doesn't get oily until at least 4-5 hours later which is crazy for me because normally with any other powder like the Rimmel Stay Matte it was oily within about 1-2hours. I'm totally loving this powder and it's become my go to one at the moment. The shade is also perfect because translucent is the best option for me because it doesn't add any colour it just mattifies it all which is exactly what I'm after. Even though my MAC Foundation is Matte some days it made me go so oily as well so I know for sure that this Powder is 100 percent helping out especially using it with the Skin Base Visage which helps keep the oilyness at bay it's the perfect combination for me. Let's just hope it works just as well in the summer. I'm yet to find one that does so we shall see.

Sleek Contour Kit

Sleek Contour Kit Review
Sleek Contour Kit Review

Ever since I really started getting into contouring I've been looking for that really good contour product and at the moment out of all of the ones I've tried this Contour & Highlight kit from Sleek is at the top spot. I never really bothered with contour because I didn't think it made a difference - lol at my past self - but obviously when I tried it and actually saw the difference I didn't look back and it's become a staple in my make-up routine. I find that because I'm pale when I just put my foundation on I literally look like a ghost seriously so I definitely needed to up my contour game so that's why I tried it out and I'm so grateful for contouring purely because it doesn't make me look ill! It puts so much more colour onto my face and definitely helps shape it. All the previous contours I've tried were more orange based which I didn't like at all so I needed a more bronze-brown toned one which is exactly what this one from Sleek is. The Contour powder is super pigmented that when I first used it I used way too much and it looked so bad because it was so full of colour, it's definitely the best contouring product I've tried out so far anyway. Now let's move onto the highlight... One word. Beautiful. Oh my god this highlighter is just as pigmented as the contour powder! Again I never really got into using highlighter. I did for a bit and then I just dropped that step because I couldn't be bothered but when I tried this highlight out.. Well now I'm always using it. It's such a pretty highlight and it comes off as a golden sheen and it looks so nice on my skintone, it stays on just as long as the contour powder. Although it comes in little packaging I've had this for a few months now and it's lasted me a good while and I still haven't hit the pan on it yet! For £6.49 this is 100% worth the money and I'll definitely be repurchasing this one that's for sure. What's your favourite contour and highlight?

Shopping My Stash...And My Sisters

I wanted to try a few new bits of make up out but I knew that I shouldn't be buying anything new when I had SO much make up that I hadn't even opened so I decided to do a shop mine & my sisters stash and have a little nose through all of the different bits of make up to try out and I found quite a few bits that I'm going to be trying out over of the next couple of weeks! Here's what I found:

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation - This was actually probably one of the only drugstore foundations that I've really liked in a while. I haven't used it in so long but I do remember liking it at the time because it reminded me of the MAC Studio Fix Foundation so I'll definitely be trying this one out again.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - This is the older version of the Match Perfection and I know there's a newer version out but I've always heard such good things about this one but I've barely been able to stick to it, I use it about once then go back to MAC but I definitely want to try out a cheaper foundation base.

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer - I nicked this one from my sister because I've seen so many good things about this and I'm always on the lookout for good concealers so I can't wait to give this one a whirl.

• Gosh Eye Pencils - Plum & Brown - I bought these ages ago and I haven't used them in ages but they're such pretty shades and they're super pigmented and I if I remember rightly I really loved them so I really want to try and use these some more.

• Miss Sporty Concealer - I've heard really good things about this one and it actually looks pale enough for my skin tone - I always struggle to find a more of a highlighting concealer because I'm pale so fingers crossed this one could be the one!

Barry M Lip Boss - Lastly is a Lip Gloss from Barry M. I'm definitely a more of a nude lip product girl lately and I've been loving wearing a smokey eye and nude lip so I can't wait to try this one out!

Current Go To Lipstick

Do you ever go through a phase of just wearing one lipstick for an entire month? This was me. I've done it with Velvet Teddy and Whirl actually and now I'm doing it again with MAC's Modesty lipstick. My lips are quite dry because of Winter and I wanted to wear a more of a 'lipgloss' finish lipstick and that's when I picked up MAC Modesty. I love a good nude lipstick and this is definitely becoming one of my all time favourite lipsticks. The shade of this one is actually pretty similar to Velvet Teddy except this one is a Cremesheen finish and Velvet Teddy is Matte. As much as I LOVE Velvet Teddy it wasn't doing anything good for my dry lips because the Matte finish was making them look horrible and cracked so I turned to this one and I'm super glad that I did. I haven't used it in ages but it's a perfect shade for me and it works so well with a no make up make up look or a full on smokey eye look which is what I normally go for I quite like a dramatic smokey eye and I find it does suit me even if I do say so myself. Modesty is definitely pigmented and it lasts quite a while, it does need a quicker top up after about 3 or 4 hours especially after eating or drinking because it's a Cremesheen shiny finish so it doesn't last as long as a Matte finish but that's to be expected. Modesty is the only lip product I've been reaching for over the last couple of weeks. What's your go to lip product at the moment?

I Love... Winter Skin Saviours

With Winter being in full force it's definitely important to keep your skin hydrated and moisturised and it's actually something I slack with quite a bit. Lately I've been stepping up my game and everytime I shower I've been popping on the I Love Body Butter* just all over my legs and arms and it's definitely been helping them out a lot, I've definitely noticed a difference with the dryness especially on my legs. I definitely prefer the body butter to the body lotion* out of the two I do think the body butter helps a lot more with moisturising my legs and arms, a little also goes a really long way with the both of these and it does sink into my skin really well, I didn't have to wait ages for it to sink in and dry like with some other ones I've tried but then gave up using because it took too long and it was just sticky.. Not good! But with this one it doesn't happen, I just pop my dressing gown on and about 5 minutes later my skin is fully dry and left feeling smooth and soft.

The hand lotion* is just as good as the other two, you only need a little bit as a little bit goes along way with this hand lotion, my hands felt so soft and moisturised after using it and they didn't feel sticky like you get with some hand lotions which is definitely a bonus oh and it smells just as amazing as the other two products!

All of these products have Shea Butter and Coconut Oil in them to help your skin stay soft and moisturised, they all smell absolutely amazing. They're all Strawberries & Cream scented and honestly it smells just like strawberries. It's definitely one of my favourite scents in the I Love range of products as it just smells SO good. The scent actually lasts quite a while on my skin as well so after using these you're left with hydrated, moisturised and lovely smelling skin. What more could you want?
