Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue

Bare Minerals, Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, Tinted Moisturiser, Bare Minerals Products, Foundation, Bare Minerals Light Foundation

I'm going to start this by saying the bloggers definitely made me buy this one, I'd been looking for a lighter coverage foundation/tinted moisturiser for the summer but never really came across one that I wanted to try out until the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue popped up. I do suffer with dry skin and I also suffer with really oily skin in the summer so firstly this shade actually matched my pale skin which I was thrilled about but it did make me go shiny because of the type of formula that it is, it's a tinted moisturiser and really creamy and it does really feel like you're just putting your everyday moisturiser on, it feels cooling when first applied to your face which is definitely a nice thing, it doesn't feel like you have a full coverage heavy foundation on but I don't think it feels like you don't have any on either if that makes sense? To me when I've been out and about and it's absolutely boiling I actually feel like a bit of a sweaty mess and I cannot stand the feel of the make up on my face anyway despite what I use so I do end up taking it off sometimes. I think this one could be a really good light foundation for me in the Winter time because it does really help with my dry skin but it doesn't do great things for my oily skin. I do add powder over the top but overtime it does start to feel too cakey so like I said I take it off. It does last really well throughout the day I put it on around 9 and most of the time I take it off around 2-3pm and it still is firmly on there it just looks like I've been at the gym for 2 hours so it's really NOT a good look to be rocking. So at the moment this one is back in my drawer along with every other foundation and I'm wearing none at the moment because I can't find a decent one to help my oily skin but considering we're halfway through August now I'm not going to go on the hunt for another tinted moisturiser or products for my oily skin because I only ever get the bad oily skin during summer and it's cooling down a lot now so I'll just wait until next year to find something that'd help my skin out I think I'll most likely try out the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation because a lot of people say that's good for oily skin so if you do have any recommendations that I need to try out please let me know!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick Haul

Rimmel Lipsticks, Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks, Rimmel Nude Kate Moss Lipsticks

When Rimmel released their new Nude Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks I knew I had to get my hands on them because I do love a good nude lip, I picked up two of the new nude shades and I also ended up picking some of the original colours as well. I couldn't choose between all of them so I ended up buying 4 that I probably don't even need but ah well.. Beauty blogger problems eh? The shades I picked up were (L-R) 48, 08, 42, 38. I've tried two of them already and I'm not sure about one of the shades on me which is the shade '38' because I'm not sure if it suits my skintone but I'll probably try it again but maybe with a no make up make up look rather than a smokey eye. The other shade I've already tried is number '42' and I do really like this one it's a perfect nude shade and looks lovely with a smokey eye. On a first impression they're definitely pigmented and not drying at all and they also last really well throughout the day! I'll be doing a swatches and more of review one day soon so keep your eyes peeled for that if you're interested.

Real Techniques Brush Collection

Real Techniques, Expert Face Brush, Core Collection, Starter Kit, Powder Brush, Sam and Nic Chapman,

Real Techniques, Expert Face Brush, Core Collection, Starter Kit, Powder Brush, Sam and Nic Chapman,

Putting together this post actually made me realise that I need to invest in some more brushes to add to my collection. I've built up a good one after not really owning any until last year (I don't know how I lasted so long without them!) Whilst I was looking for brushes to purchase the brushes from Real Techniques always popped up from bloggers and youtubers so considering they were priced really reasonable I decided to jump on the bandwagon and order myself some brushes. Altogether I have the Core Collection, Powder Brush, Expert Face Brush and the Starter Kit. There's SO many more Real Techniques brushes I've got my eye on I really actually want to try out the Sculpting Set from them.. The bold metals collection looks SO beautiful too but I think for now I'll stick to the more drugstore sort of prices for the brushes as I don't really want to fork out £10 for just an eye brush.

These brushes are really good quality I've had these brushes for nearly probably a year now and none of them have broken and I haven't noticed any of the bristles falling out either, after you wash these thoroughly it's like you've gone out and bought a brand new set, you literally cannot tell that they've been used they look that good, the thing I love about these brushes is the quality and how soft they feel on your face, it's not harsh at all like I thought they might be I never thought they'd be so soft! They blend my eye make up, foundation and everything in so well and I really don't know how I went for so long with not using these brushes but then again it's only been over the last year or so that I've actually taken a real interest in make up. These brushes are 100% worth the money, it's such good value especially with there being 4 or 6 brushes in a collection and them being just under £15 on Amazon, absolute bargain! What other brushes out there that are really worth the hype? Let me know!

July Favourites

Monthly Favourites, Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturiser, W Brow Parlour, Loreal Bronzer

How is it August already?! Like seriously! This year is absolutely flying by but I actually don't mind because it's nearly Autumn and I absolutely LOVE autumn, the clothes, the make up, cosy nights in, fairy lights, hot chocolate in front of the fire.. Halloween, Bonfire Night, my birthday and CHRISTMAS! (Yes I did just mention Christmas..oops) I mean just typing all of that has made me get REALLY excited but before I go on a long paragraph about Autumn and Winter I'll get back to what I'm supposed to be writing about.. July Favourites!

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue - I picked this one up a couple of weeks back because I wanted a light tinted moisturiser for the summer and this one is working wonders, it's perfect for my dry skin because it just feels like your putting a moisturiser on (hence the name 'tinted moisturiser' I suppose.. Duh B) it's got an SPF of 30 in which is always a good thing to have especially on those more sunnier days.. I'm not going to say too much about this one because I have a review coming up soon so if you wanna know more about it keep your eyes peeled.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - This one I've been loving over the last month or so, I've done a review of this one here if you'd like a read but in a short and sweet paragraph; Lengthens, Separates, Doesn't Flake Off, Lasts alllll day.. LOVE!

Brow Parlour* - I've been loving this Brow Palette at the moment, it has everything in, a highlighter, brow wax, and two shadows and the shadow matches my eyebrow shade perfectly and the wax makes them stay put all day. I've also reviewed this one here if you'd like to know more.

L'Oreal Bronzer - I've been really getting into contouring and highlighting and all that jazz at the moment and I've been loving this bronzer, it's not too dark and works really well for my pale skin and adds that little bit of colour to stop me from looking too pale! (Review here too)

• Masterchef - I absolutely love cooking shows and I really enjoyed the last series of Masterchef they're just so interesting to watch and I then want to go and try and make everything!
